Discussion regarding Hay Lake projects in the works, walking path between the park and Hay Lake School. Roger Rydeen has volunteered to complete the installation. (Note: Tom has since met with Roger, and Roger estimates materials cost to be $250. Tom will be asking Historical Society and the Lions to help pay for the materials costs. Tom has asked Hist Soc where they recommend the walking path to be, and he will do a drawing for the city.) Plans will need to be submitted to the Scandia PRC and City Council for approval. There was discussion regarding park signage and that the PRC is looking into that. Also, it was mentioned that the Shelter needs to be re-stained.

4. Other Priority Issues:
Bill Buell will conduct a walking tour of the Gateway Trail from William O'Brien State Park north to 97 on Saturday morning August 28, 2010. Tom will send out exact time information prior to the date of the walk. In related news, Rich and Sonia reported that they traveled the bike route entirely around Big Marine Lake. They estimated to mark the entire route with signs it would cost approximately $300. Also, Rich reported that at the recent Washington County Board Meeting the Big Marine Park Reserve Plan was adopted and that there are bike trails running through the park and parallel to Hwy 4. It was also discussed that we may want to update our website by supplying Joan Berry, our web designer with photos and maps of the parks, bike paths, etc.

Lilleskogen will have another park clean-up day in August. The date will be distributed to all members.

5. Membership:
Membership renewals are straggling in. It was approved that a postcard mailing reminder will be sent to existing members. Also, through the booth at Taco Daze, we will be focusing on attracting new members. Sally to obtain an adult and child's bike helmet for give away drawing to new members who sign that day, and Sonia is looking into having some type of attraction (possibly a horse)! It was agreed that this would be of high interest to people since we have a large equestrian population in the area.

6. Other Matters:
The financial report was given by Treasurer Rich Burton. There were 12 new members added since the last meeting. Payment will be made to the grant person for their assistance in locating potential grant funding sources. Sally reports that the next Lilleskogen buckthorn removal activity will be Wed Aug 25 from 4pm til dusk.
